  1. Exposure of hair to heat is one of the major reason for dry and damaged hair. Using hot blowers, straighteners, excess exposure of hair to sun and washing with hot water not only makes hair weak and frizzy but can also lead to premature greying. Hence to keep hair healthy, use heat protectants and also minimize the use of blowers and straighteners.

  2. Many people tend to use narrow tooth combs for styling hair. This is one of the major mistakes that you make, as using such combs causes a lot of friction that leads to hair breakage and split ends. The precaution is simple just use a good quality hair friendly combs with wide tooth to maintain the condition of hair.

  3. Also contact of chemicals can make hair dry, weak and white. There are several times your hair comes in contact with these harmful chemicals. Using low quality shampoos and other hair products, going to swimming without cap, all these habits should be avoided to keep hair in perfect condition.

  4. Why you need to wash your hair every day? You think that regular rinse can help to keep dandruff and dirt away from hair, but the result is exactly opposite to this. This will actually dry your scalp making your body to produce more oils for keeping hair moisturized. Excess oils make hair greasy and leads to more dandruff. Hence to permanently get rid of dandruff fast wash hair thrice a week for keeping hair healthy, soft and clean.

  5. Not using moisturizers or conditioners after wash is also a mistake many girls make which make hair frizzy. The use of conditioners makes hair ultra soft and smooth. So you have two options, one is to use a conditioner for soft and nourished hair and other is to skip it that can lead to many hair problems.

  6. Combing hair many times a day can break your hair and can also damage scalp. To keep hair healthy styling hair two and maximum three times is advisable.

  7. Also combing hair when it is wet leads to hair loss. Since wet hair tend to be weak even little friction can cause damage to it. So to keep hair strong and perfect first dry and then comb it.

  8. Not trimming hair in regular intervals degrades the look of hair. Trimming does not mean to go cut all your hair, but to cut half or one inch every month to remove and prevent split ends and keep hair look beautiful.

  9. Most women make this hair mistake when it comes for removing the tangles from hair. You take a comb and fight with your hair until you get rid of these tangles. This is a one of the most common reason for hair loss in women. To prevent this you first wash your hair, condition it, let it dry and then comb to remove tangles.

  10. Every one often forgets to use heat protectant sprays on hair after the use of straighteners, while going out in sun etc.
